About the Penn State Rugby Foundation
Since 1962, Penn State Rugby has provided students with the opportunity to compete at the highest level, consistently fielding teams that compete for the National Championship. But the landscape of collegiate rugby is changing. The competition is growing stronger than ever, and well-funded programs are gaining on Penn State. While Penn State Rugby has a winning history, the teams are at risk of losing their status as top competitors. Without the financial support to retain top coaches and recruit top talent, Penn State Rugby is at a turning point: will we rise to the top or be left behind?
An Endowment to Power Penn State Rugby
The Penn State Rugby Foundation is stepping in to provide the financial support that the teams need to compete with the best. Thanks to our Founders and First XV members, $1 million has been raised towards our initial $2 million target to build an endowment for Penn State Rugby. Returns on the principal will be used to help fund coaching support and player scholarships.
